The BHS Counseling department warmly invites Hunt and Edmunds Middle School parents and caregivers of current 8th grade students to downtown Burlington High this Wednesday, January 31st, from 6:30pm – 7:30pm for the 2024 Rising 9th Grade Parent Information Night! Counselors will provide an overview of the class selection process to help parents/caregivers support their students through the thoughtful navigation of the Program of Studies and getting ready for high school. Students will be invited to return to dtBHS in the spring for an open house opportunity to connect with the campus and teachers; however, this brief adult-focused session will help outline the semester ahead. Guests should enter the campus through the main entrance on Cherry St. and meet in the downstairs Music Room (rm. 143) for a 6:30pm start. We look forward to seeing you next Wednesday!
On Tuesday, December 19th, Be Above students headed out to the parking lots to tie red ribbons on cars. This red ribbon is a friendly reminder to drive substance free, buckle up, ride with drivers who are substance-free, and stay safe today, tomorrow, and always. Be Above wishes everyone joy in all that they celebrate throughout the year and wishes everyone a healthy 2024.
Our holiday break begins Friday, December 22nd, with an 11:30am dismissal. School resumes on Tuesday, January 2nd.
Our Be Above 8th graders have designated a dress-up theme for each day of the week. Dressing up shows support for ending drug abuse. All are encouraged to participate. Friendly tip: Lay out your outfit the night before!
