All EMS students will participate in the state-required Vermont Comprehensive Assessment Program (VTCAP) starting Monday, March 24. These assessments measure learning in Math, English Language Arts, and Science (for 8th graders) and help guide instruction and support. Testing will conclude Friday, March 28 for 6th and 7th graders. Eighth graders will complete two additional science assessments, extending their testing window through Thursday, April 3.
VTCAP Mind and Body Tips for Success:
- Prioritize sleep – Aim for 8-10 hours to stay rested and focused.
- Fuel your brain – Eat a balanced breakfast with protein, whole grains, and healthy fats.
- Stay hydrated – Drink plenty of water before and during testing.
- Stay positive and confident – Remind your student: “I’ve prepared for this, and I will do my best!”
Thank you for your support in helping students feel prepared and ready to do their best.
