Windmill Towers: Energy and Engineering
7/8th grade students designed and built lattice towers to support moderate-scale windmills.
These windmills became a "wind farm" in the lobby's display case.

7/8th grade Technology Education students look into the benefits and drawbacks of wind power, basic engineering and structural design concepts, and determine their tower's efficiency rating.
These towers were put to the test, the old fashioned way, with pure steel!

The strongest towers supported 137.5 pounds, the most weight available! These towers can be found on the Hall of Fame Page. Come celebrate design and engineering excellence.
